VentureCast Beta Terms
Scope and acceptance
These Beta Terms govern access to the invited VentureCast beta. By selecting “Accept & Continue” in the app, you accept this version for the account you are using. If you do not accept, sign out and do not use the authenticated beta. Public VentureCast pages, including these Terms and the Privacy Policy, remain available without acceptance.
Beta software and availability
VentureCast is beta software. Features, Market availability, builds, and access may change, pause, or end. Bugs, interruptions, delayed or stale displays, and rejected or unconfirmed actions may occur. A creator identity may appear in the catalog without a public or tradable Market. A feature or Market is unavailable unless the app identifies it as available after VentureCast completes its separate activation gates.
At this version’s publication, the invited beta exposes 42 active creator Markets to browse, together with Market Moments. Synthetic Long and eligible Short trading are implemented, but human trading is currently locked until the official competition start. Market Requests and upvotes are not currently exposed by the Production runtime. Real-money deposits, withdrawals, bank linking, and payment processing are off.
Synthetic beta units
All current beta trading uses synthetic VentureCast test units. The current starting target for each eligible external human beta participant is $25,000 in synthetic test money. Those units are not customer deposits, bank deposits, cash, cash equivalents, or custodied U.S. dollars. They cannot be deposited, withdrawn, transferred outside VentureCast, redeemed for cash, or used to claim money from VentureCast. A synthetic balance, gain, loss, position value, or portfolio value is a test result only and does not represent money owed by VentureCast.
Creator identities and non-affiliation
VentureCast uses publicly known creator identities as references in its catalog and creator-referenced Markets. Unless VentureCast explicitly states otherwise based on documented facts, displaying a creator’s name, ticker, or VentureCast-created artwork does not mean that the creator has partnered with, endorsed, sponsored, approved, authorized, or participated in VentureCast or the Market. Creator inclusion is not an investment recommendation.
Trading, orders, prices, and fees
The beta supports synthetic trading when VentureCast’s server controls make it available; human trading is currently locked until the official competition start. Once available, prices can move and synthetic gains and losses can occur. Liquidity may be limited. Quotes can expire or change; orders can be rejected, canceled, delayed, paused, partially filled, or fail. A submitted order is not necessarily a fill. Review the displayed spread, VentureCast fee, total synthetic debit or estimated proceeds, and final status before and after an action.
Pre-beta market history may include simulated trading activity used by VentureCast to test and initialize market behavior before participant trading begins. VentureCast classifies this system activity separately from organic user activity. System agents are not participants and are not eligible for leaderboards, referrals, prizes, or competition scoring.
The VentureCast server ledger, order records, and final displayed state are the authoritative product records. Do not rely on a stale screen, an unconfirmed request, or a website preview as evidence of a balance, position, order, fill, or return.
Short positions
Eligible beta users can open synthetic Short positions when the Market and server controls allow it. A Short can move against the user and reduce synthetic portfolio value. Borrow capacity, collateral requirements, account and Market limits, liquidity, risk controls, and safety pauses may restrict or prevent opening or maintaining a Short. Borrow capacity is not guaranteed. VentureCast may restrict new exposure or close exposure according to the product’s reviewed controls.
Market Moments
Market Moments may surface creator-related editorial or event context from approved public sources. Source information and VentureCast editorial context may be delayed, incomplete, corrected, removed, or updated. Market Moments are not trading recommendations. Displaying a creator or creator-related event does not mean that the creator participated in, approved, or endorsed VentureCast or a Moment.
Market Requests and referrals
When the app exposes Market Requests, a user may request or upvote a creator Market. A request or upvote is feedback, not a promise that VentureCast will list, activate, or keep a Market available. This workflow is not currently exposed by the Production runtime.
Referral codes, attribution, and beta invitations may operate. Referral attribution alone does not promise cash, shares, access, or another reward. Current general referral rewards and cash rewards are off. Any separately announced competition prize is governed by its official rules and is separate from synthetic balances.
Competitions
VentureCast may announce a separate closed-beta competition. An announcement and its official rules must identify its start and end times, eligibility, scoring, qualified-referral standard, tie handling, prizes, and other applicable conditions. Unless those official rules are published and the competition has started, beta trading or referral activity does not create a prize entitlement. Competition prizes, if any, are separate from and do not make synthetic beta units redeemable.
Pauses and system interruptions
VentureCast may pause a Market or beta function, reject an action, cancel an eligible open action, restrict access, or end beta availability when supported by the product’s reviewed operational controls. Connectivity, provider, device, software, and service interruptions can delay or prevent requests and updates. VentureCast does not promise uninterrupted availability or that every interruption, error, or abusive action will be detected or prevented.
Prohibited conduct
You must not manipulate or attempt to manipulate a Market; conduct wash trading or self-trading; evade limits or controls; use abusive automation; share or transfer an account or beta invite; commit fraud or payment abuse; submit false, deceptive, or harassing material; interfere with the service or another user; or misuse a creator’s identity, content, name, ticker, or artwork.
VentureCast may investigate and use the restrictions, pauses, cancellations, access controls, or account actions that the reviewed product supports. These controls do not promise complete monitoring, detection, prevention, automatic takedown, reimbursement, or any remedy that the product does not implement.
Accounts, invites, and closure
The current beta is invitation-based. Keep your account and invite secure and do not share them. Access may be restricted, revoked, paused, or ended as the beta changes. The current app has an account-closure flow with financial and operational safety checks; closure is not wholesale deletion of every record. The Privacy Policy describes current data handling and the available route for privacy or deletion review.
Third-party services
VentureCast relies on service providers for hosting, email, authentication, beta distribution, and related infrastructure. Apple or Google terms apply when you use their sign-in or beta-distribution services. A provider’s interruption or decision may affect access without making an unavailable VentureCast feature available.
Feedback and support
VentureCast may collect account-linked support feedback and bounded technical or build context as described in the Privacy Policy. Do not send passwords, authentication tokens, full payment credentials, or unnecessary financial details in feedback or email. Contact alex@joinventurecast.com for beta, account, security, privacy, or creator-content support.
Changes and versioning
The version above identifies the Terms accepted by an account. VentureCast may update these Terms as the beta changes. A material change requires a new Terms version and a new in-app acceptance before authenticated beta access continues. VentureCast preserves prior acceptance evidence and does not rewrite the accepted meaning of an earlier identifier.
